Hi Folks,
Mid week vlog here. I've been taking care of some cats during the week, the vet bills are insane. I couldn't see them suffer (strays).
One of them has to have it's leg amputated. Thank God for the SPCA. They helped me in a hard time.
I want to talk about luck. Some people are really lucky, but the way I see it is (and from what a mentor told me) is that people make their luck. I suppose the cats I'm taking care of are lucky. They redeemed one of their 9 lives. I just ensured they weren't on their last. People have helped me before and I know how it feels to need help and have someone reach out a hand to help you. There is a moral obligation to help those around you. I've taken help 'credit' and now I pay it forward.
Luck is when opportunity meets preparation, you have to put in the hours, don't wait for the opportunity.
Some people sit around and wait for the opportunity, some people strike when the irons hot, some people keep striking until the plate is so hot it would slice through anything, so when that opportunity does come, they don't even need 'luck'. There's an old proverb that goes 'work for your reputation and your reputation will work for you'. I wholeheartedly embody that phrase. An opportunity might come your way, GRAB it by the throat and don't let it go. There's no bigger form of regret than seeing your dream, and not being ready for it. If you don't get up and prepare you might be pushing your dream back a whole 6 months or a whole year. Life is too short. You have to just stay down until you come up.
Anyway, I'm writing this for a reason.
